Countdown to Street Festival

The Mission

The Taste of Manila Street Festival started in 2014 with the mission of bringing to Canadians and Filipinos living in Canada the experience of Filipino culture, cuisine, entertainment, products, and services.

The Reception

The concept was simple enough: organize a street festival in an area of Toronto that was slowly being recognized as a hub of Filipino businesses and gathering places. With less than 300,000 Filipinos living in the Greater Toronto Area, the expected attendance was about 30,000 visitors for the weekend. What happened was an attendance of well over 150,000 Filipinos, fellow Canadians, and tourists.

The Result

As a result, the food vendors ran out of food, dry good vendors ran out of merchandise and the City of Toronto staff were surprised by the overwhelming number of attendees! And because of the success of the Taste of Manila Festival, Bathurst and Wilson was officially recognized as LITTLE MANILA!

About Us

The team of IEC, along with Rolly Mangante- Chairman of the Taste of Manila Inc. and ToM management will bring the pride of all Filipinos and showcase everything Filipino to Toronto, and by extension, to Canada and the world!
